Permissions

Choosing what an agent may read, change and delete.

Two settings decide what an agent may do, and both live in Settings under AI Agents. Nothing an agent does can change them.

The master switch

Allow AI agents to use your account is off until you turn it on. While it is off, CheckMate refuses every request an agent makes — including simply reading — whatever else is set.

Turning it off again is a clean break: it disconnects every agent and clears the permissions you granted, so allowing agents later starts from nothing rather than quietly restoring what you set months ago.

Advanced permissions

Advanced opens a grid of everything an agent could touch — projects, testing phases, regression cases, test cases, assignments, test results and your organisation — each with up to three permissions:

  • Read — look at it.
  • Change — create and edit it.
  • Delete — permanently remove it.

Anything you do not grant is refused, and the refusal tells the agent which setting to point you at. Some rows offer fewer permissions than others: test results are read-only because agents never submit results, and your organisation is read-only because agents do not manage people.

Read only and Full write fill the grid in one click. Neither grants delete — that is only ever reachable by ticking it yourself.

Disconnect all agents

Disconnect cuts off every agent connected to youraccount immediately, without changing your password or your permissions. It affects nobody else: your colleagues' agents keep working, and what they have granted is untouched. Any agent that tries to carry on is told to reconnect, which needs your approval again. Use it if you are unsure what is connected.
